Anxiety

We all know what anxiousness is…a feeling of dread or worry about some issue.  Anxiousness may be brought about by an upcoming test, by a job interview, or by a bully. But, it can also be brought about by being accepted/rejected by a peer group or by feeling overwhelmed by tasks or situations. These days, social media is large contributor to rising anxiety. Stomach aches, headaches, and tension are some common symptoms of anxiety. So are excessive worrying, building ‘worst-case’ scenarios about a situation and avoiding the problem.

Anxiety often makes people feel trapped and scared. Anxiety is often associated with the ‘fight or flight’ response and, generally, people cannot think clearly when in this state. I can give you tools and strategies to reduce feelings of anxiousness and help you to better cope with the situation.
